Today's is Father's day. I've had work for the third day in a row but thankfully got to spend time with family afterwords, which was nice and relaxing.

I finished my first week interning at Perry Ellis International. I'm the only intern who's not already in college! The first day we had a training, and I was so nervous. Then I got a call from a store I recently interviewed saying I got the job! It was a nice surprise. Afterwords, I ate lunch in Bryant Park and then went to the design studio. I mostly organized hundreds of swatches, cut color cards, and assisted in design meetings. I also sat in on a fitting and a design meeting. It was a lot of fun, and different from what I've previously experienced. We were given drinks and goodie bags, it was very beachy. There was an intern luncheon, where we were given more goodies! I'll post a picture later. We heard stories from people who started as interns in the company and worked their way up. This Summer is only getting started.

To top it all of, I was casually talking with a woman today when she told me she worked for Ralph Lauren and wanted my resume!
